Nextel i730 Housing Instructions
Please allow time for all
pictures to be displayed.
If they are not all

We hope that this is
helpful!
Please take your time on
your first housing change.
We are not responsible for
any misuse of these instructions or claim any responsibility for any damage to
your phone.
Unscrew the antenna
Then remove the metal tube from the
back housing.
This can be done by pushing the tube up
a little bit. Most of the time you can do it with your hand, otherwise a needle
nose pliers work great.
Then take a small screwdriver and push
the tube out and up.
It should come unhooked and then you
can gently remove it.

We recommend that you don't follow the
next step and leave the two boards attached.
Simply pull the boards out of the
housing a little bit.
With a small flat head screwdriver push
the sides of the ribbon a little bit.
The ribbon is what connects the phone
to the flip on top of the phone.
You might have to push the boards apart
a little bit, but it is easier than detaching the two boards.

After you disconnect the main board,
you need to unscrew this small screw right by the ribbon.
This is a T4 screw in every phone we've
done.

Heat is not necessary to remove the
panel, but recommended. We use a small hair dryer.
Sorry for the misspelling, but these
were not our original pics.

The Spring hinge will need to be
removed before the next step.

Most of our housings come with a clear
LCD holder. You can use the factory LCD holder if you prefer. This will make it
easier since the ribbon is fragile. The
clear LCD holder will allow you to see inside of your phone more with a
transparent housing. If you
do decide to use the clear LCD holder, please remove the ribbon very gently. If
your phone doesn't work after installation, most of the time it is because of
the ribbon. We stock every
part for this phone. i730
